Before writing prose, I taught production design and screenwriting—among other classes—at Academy Art University in San Francisco. The two short films I wrote, produced, and directed won awards at some film festivals.
I graduated from New York University with an AA in Liberal Arts and a BFA in Theatre, and with honors from University College Dublin with an MA in Film Studies. I went on to earn an MFA in Creative Writing from San Francisco University, where I was an Assistant Fiction Editor at Switchback. I also interned at Kimberley Cameron & Associates Literary Agency, attended the juried writers’ conference LitCamp, and was a panelist at Litquake 2024. My writing has been published in several literary journals including The Brooklyn Review, The Sun, and upcoming in Cimarron Review.
I live in Northern California, where I hike with my rescue Spanish Greyhound, garden, and write, looking out the window for visits from a family of crows.
Currently, I’m querying my literary historical novel, The Orchard.
You can only create that which you are.
